KW-NT1 software upgrade does not work
Your instructions indicate a folder "NT1_V1_1_007_0501_forMP_J" will be created. Three folders are created, none with that name. They are:
NK_V1_1_007_0501_forMP_J
SYS_V1_0_002_0500
MAIN_V1_0_006_0500
and a file named "UpdateVersionControl"
These are on the root but unit does not respond to them.
I tried renaming "NK_V1_1_007_0501_forMP_J" to
"NT1_V1_1_007_0501_forMP_J" with no luck.
Please advise

I had the same issue and the staff answer didn't work exactly for me. Upon extracting the files Win XP pro did not create a NT1_ folder w/o a .zip extension. So I created a new folder in the root of the SD card, copied/pasted the folder name with the .zip ext to rename the new folder. Then deleted the .zip ext, and copied the unzipped files into this folder. Update worked like a charm then.

After you extract the folder, close the folder that opens up and look for the unzipped "NT1_V1_1_007_0501_forMP_J" folder on your desktop.
Copy this folder to the SD card.

Is there any way to disable the voice completely during the GPS guidance?
The voice is annoying and I would prefer to just look at the screen for the upcoming directions, as I do not really need the voice guidance. Thanks.

Will the KW-NT1 control my factory overhead DVD?
I have a 2005 For Expedition with factory overhead DVD. Will this unit control the function of that player? And if so, will I be able to watch one DVD in the back and a different one up front?

Make a call - voice mail or something to confirm a bluetooth partnership. End Call. Push button on headunit to download phone book.

Please use the firmware for the JVC model KD-A305. The KW-NT1 software will be posted shortly, but it is the same as this model.
