Yes you can. I have mine set up to have bluetooth in the rear USB port, and ipod in the front. When a call comes in, your music stops playing. 'Click' (push in) on the volume knob to answer your call.

Yes, you can. Plug the provided bluetooth adapter into the rear USB slot (I did this before installation of the receiver, made it much easier). Then you can use the same cable that you use to connect your iPod to PC to connect your iPod to the receiver. There are 2 modes of control for the iPod through the receiver, iPod control and Headunit control. I am still trying to figure out how to switch it up so I can use the iPod to control my music

Indeed it can play supported file formats, including MP3, from an external hard drive (as well as from thumb drives). I have a 100GB drive that I use with mine and it works great, though it takes half a minute or so to enumerate all the files on the drive when you attach it. Once it loads though it works great and the interface is nice. It will even remember where it was the next time you connect the drive to it.

That said, there is a couple caveats. First, the drive should only have one partition on it, but that's not really much of an issue as I see it. The second caveat is that the drive has to be formatted with a FAT file system. Windows will not allow formatting a partition larger than 32GB with FAT, so you'll have to use other tools to initially format the drive (I used Linux to format mine). Once formatted, however, Windows will read and write to the drive just fine.

This is normal operation. Please transfer your phone book entries first, then you can re-pair your cell phone afterward. Please see this website for more information: http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/english/car/bluetooth/index.html
